We Are 5!

6 years ago, he said Hi.

We had pretty amazing ride over the years. We’ve celebrated anniversaries together; we’ve also celebrated anniversaries hundreds miles apart. We've experienced many firsts together and looking forward to many more in our future!

This time, we celebrated ours in Ipoh! Together with our loved ones too since Hariz joined the National Horse Show 2016 in Perak Turf Club, Ipoh last week. It was his first show but he casually passed all three dressage tests! What else in this life that you can’t do? I am beyond proud of you, Boo! We all are!

I will continue to cheer you on, wherever you are, whatever you do.

Happy 5 to us! I love you, Mohd Hariz.

Anything For Salinas

Growing up watching the 1997 film, Selena, I thought Jennifer Lopez was the real Selena! [I was 6, what do you expect haha] Lopez was perfect for that part. Love the movie then, now and forever, Selena Vive!

When MAC Cosmetics announced their collaboration with Selena's family mid last year [after being persuaded by a petition on Change.org in order to honor the late singer] I know I need to get some! Finally after a year, it is now released! #MACSelena is sold out (in maccosmetics.com) within minutes after its launching, proved how powerful this Latina was [and still is]! Got myself the Powder Blush Duo Techno Cumbia [bronzer blush powder —RM128] 2 days ago and later, I cannot stop thinking about the lipstick so I went to MAC Paradigm Mall this morning and got myself the Amor Prohibido lipstick [RM85]. During checkout, the MAC staff told me that it was the last "Amor Prohibido" and congratulated me. HAHAHA YAY! ;D
This film is probably one of the earliest film that taught me about feminism, even though I didn't get it back then hahahaha. The film showed how women were being downgraded back in the 70s-80s. They were not successful, cannot be, and won't be. For example, Selena's dad got paid lower than what he supposedly get because Selena was a woman. Sadly, things are still like this in certain places today.

What I love most about this film is that throughout the film, her dad passes his knowledge off to her without mansplaining life to her [during such era] and how he had strong faith and trust in his kids and believed that one day, his kids will make it— which they did! Selena Quitanilla Perez was poised to become the first female singer to cross-over from Spanish to English market, which made her one of the most successful and influential woman [of colour] during that time, before she was shot dead at the age of 23 by the president of her own fan club— Yolanda, in 1995.
Many of the moments in the film were very influential and straight forward with rich characters, inspiring the audiences, especially women of colour, to keep fighting for their dreams. As a whole, the film is about the late Selena as a Mexican-American woman fighting to overcome obstacles [and that includes feminism and racism too] to achieve her dreams. If you haven't watch the film yet, WATCH IT. Even if you're not a fan of her, honestly "Selena" is a good film. I'm gonna make Hariz watch it... Ouuhhhh I'm gonna add that into my things-to-do-before-I-die list. JHAHAH
Rest in peace, Selena.

Sephora — Black Haul 2016

Damage done! Here's my SephoraMY-20%-off haul! Get 20% off everything, in-stores and online! Sale starts today until this Sunday Oct 9. For online, you can use the coupon code BLACK at checkout. Make sure you're a Black Card holder to get the 20% off! If you're a White Card holder, for your sake, drag your Black Card friend along!

These are what I got for myself today! Click for MakeupAlley reviews.
1. Guerlain Lingerie De Peau SPF 20 Foundation [03N Naturel]
2. Caudalie X Jason Wu Beauty Elixir [makeup setting spray]
3. Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ [for normal skin]

I had my eyes on this Guerlain foundation for quite awhile but didn't get the chance to get it since it's RM288 each. For a foundation I think it's too much, and obviously out of my budget. When Sephora announced the 20% off sale, I knew I had to get my hands on it! Got it for RM230.40 after discount, that's like... RM58 off! It's not a must have foundation to be honest, but I love the texture. Its sort of like Dior Forever SPF 35 foundation [I'm using 021], but Guerlain's is slightly smoother. Does not provide full coverage but I prefer using light-weight foundation. No, I am not recommending this foundation. Yet. Hopefully not. Hahahaha

This is my second bottle of Caudalie. I bought the small RM60 bottle to try and sadly, I ended up loving it! It sets my makeup very well and doesn't irritate my eyes too. Previous favourite was Smashbox Primer Water [RM125]. It was sold out everywhere, even until today. Loooove the Smashbox one but it did irritate my eyes sometimes, but I love what it did to my makeup [things I would go through for makeup hahaha]. I hate to get the big bottle Caudalie because it will cost me RM195 but hey, RM156 after 20% discount. It's now or never, right? *cries*

I received 4 samples of Shiseido's latest sunscreens from Parkson Pavilion last 2 months; blue bottle for normal skin and light-blue for children and sensitive skin. I haven't tried it yet but I was searching for one too. Since Hariz is going for a horse championship next week, I gave all 4 samples to him. Gotta take care your man's skin too, honeyboo. After reading so much positive reviews about this sunscreen, I think this is the best time to get it. Got it for RM118.40 after 20% discount. Normal price is RM148.

Now it's time to keep calm and wait for Holiday 2016 collections to arrive! :D xx
