Huda Matte Liquids + Lip Primers

Loving the new line from Huda Beauty [USD 20/ GBP 18]! Their matte liquid lipsticks are to die for! The packaging is beautifully-designed, sleek, simple and smart. Loooove the lips biting design on the packaging. It's like you can see the swatches just by looking at the boxes, without swatching them on your hands. I find that really genius of Huda Kattan, the famous Dubai MUA for coming up with such idea. They have 16 shades to choose from but my favourites would be Trendsetter [brownish-pink] and Icon [more to brown kinda melon pink]! I'm so bad at describing the colours, so please youtube for the swatches hahaha. Not a fan of pink lips, but Icon is an exception! After hours of Youtube sesh, only this video that I found very helpful [to me].

In terms of formula, this Italian-made matte liquid is quite tricky to apply as the formula is really wet/runny/watery. Comfortable to wear, does not leave patchy/cakey finish, slightly sticky after awhile as the formula does not 100% dry up even though it leaves my lips looking matte. Lasts up to, maybe 3 - 4 hours, if I don't eat hahahaha. Shades on the boxes are almost true to the colour, but might be slightly differed when applied on different people, different skin tones. Not so much, just slightly differed.

  • Very pigmented.
  • Does not leave my lips feeling dry [during and after].
  • Matte finish/ looking.
  • Feels light on the lips, like not wearing any matte lipstick at all.

  • Not long-lasting.
  • Fades easily when eating.
  • Slightly sticky on the lips after a while [but still comfortable to wear].
  • Not transfer-proof/ kiss-proof.

3.9/5 from me but still, I would say it's worth the hype! This is my first time trying such formula, that is different from what I've tried before; creamy liquid lipsticks. I would recommend you to get it at least one. If your lips always become dry after wearing liquid lipstick, or you just hate the matte feeling on your lips, yes Huda liquids might be the one for you or just get a lip primer. I'm using the one from MAC Cosmetics, Prep + Prime Lip [RM 82] before I discovered Lippie Primer [USD $5] from Colourpop. Both work the same *cries*. GAME CHANGER, I tell you. After I discovered this thing called lip primer, I always have it in my handbag, always. Never will I put any liquid lipstick on before applying lip primer. NEVER! Trust me on this one. I thought it was just an over-priced lip-balm so fuck that shit but boy, I WAS WRONG. If I can turn back time, I'd slap myself. 10/5 for lip primers because they're God sent.

P/S : Thanks Alia for introducing me to lip primers. I learned something new last month HAHAHA

What's Your Favourite Collagen Drink?

I was about to pay for my shampoo at a pharmacy last 2 weeks before I saw Kinohimitsu Collagen Beauty Trial Box of 4 at the counter. “Uh, why not”, so I took it and paid RM 20 for that. That means, it’s RM 5 per bottle/ per day. I came home and told Ika about it. She tried the NH Colla-Plus last time and according to her, it works on her. It got me thinking and that's how my "collagen research" started. HAHAHA
This Kinohimitsu Collagen Beauty with Perilla Seed contains 2,500mg of fish/marine collagen. After finish drinking all 4 bottles, I can feel that my skin [face and body] is more plump, hydrated and firm. Even lady lumps are rounder and firmer too. Didn’t use any body lotion during that time, not even few weeks before I started drinking. No complain about this one and it sure does feel amazing since I can tell the difference after just 4 bottles, probably more will come if I keep on consuming for 3 months as recommended.

I googled few reviews on the Internet and seems like both Kinohimitsu and NH Colla-Plus give good results. Price wise, NH Colla-Plus is slightly cheaper compared to Kinohimitsu. As recommended by the netizens, if you’re thinking of trying collagen drinks from Kinohimitsu, you should try their Collagen Diamond Drink [contains 5,300mg fish collagen].

Based on Kinohimitsu's website, Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond Drink [approx RM150 for box of 16] acts as a powerful moisturizing agent that helps to protect skin cells against free radicals, prolonging the firming and hydrating effect within the skin. I stumbled upon few reviews about the drink. Here are some of its benefits based on Swanple’s experience with the Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond Drink :
  • Firms up skin for a more lifted look.
  • Tightens pores for velvety-smooth skin.
  • Helps make-up stay on longer and adhere better to the skin.
  • Lifts up bust and buttock for a more attractive body shape.
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and heals scars.
  • Re-densifies the skin’s dermis layer for fine and supple skin.
  • Seals in precious moisture for lasting retention within the skin.
  • Lightens skin for a snowy complexion.
  • Strengthens hair and nails, keeping them strong and healthy.

Based on her blog, there is also Kinohimitsu Diamond Nite to help those who have sleeping problems! It helps by inducing mind relaxation to improve sleep quality while helping the skin to remove toxins that cause cells ageing and ensure an effective repairing and renewal process takes place. Do check her blog out to read about her brother’s positive experience with Diamond Nite drinks.

Kinohimitsu Collagen Beauty + Perilla Seed contains 2,500mg of fish collagen.
Kinohimitsu Collagen Diamond Drink contains 5,300mg of fish collagen.

Yesterday I went to Guardian Citta Mall, one box of 16+4 Colla-Plus [green bottle] costs only RM97 after sale, RM 4.85 per bottle! But I got my eyes on the [blue bottle] NH Colla-Plus ADVANCED. Paid RM 117 for one box of 16+4. That’s RM5.85 for a bottle. The difference is that, ADVANCED is for whitening. I believed both green and blue bottles help our skin to deflect UV, eliminate spots, lighten scars, fight against discolouration, retain our skin’s moisture, repair skin and regenerate healthier skin cells from within, just like Kinohimitsu's.

The main reason I chose NH Colla-Plus ADVANCED is because it contains 6,000mg fish collagen which is a much higher content than other brands. That means, it has stronger beauty effects and hopefully [God's willing] gives more significant results within short period of time. Teheee! My skin showed improvement after 4 bottles of Kinohimitsu’s 2,500mg collagen drink, just imagine if I take 6,000mg. [hik hok hik hok :p] I was standing for almost 30 minutes or more in front of the beauty drink shelves. The staff kept on peeking at me from far, maybe they thought I’d steal things or something HAHAHAHA

NH Colla-Plus [green bottle] contains 5,000mg of fish collagen.
NH Colla-Plus [blue bottle] contains 6,000mg of fish collagen.

How to consume?
For first time user, consume 1 bottle a day for 6 days straight.
After 6 days, consume 1 bottle every 2/3 days.
Consume on an empty stomach in the morning or before bedtime.

You can continue drinking during menstruation because the loss of collagen is higher during menstruation. Most of the collagen drinks do not contain hormones, so they're safe to be consumed during menstruation and ideal for both genders. Fun fact, 20% of our body is made up of protein, and one third of it is collagen. There is no way to tighten skin non-surgically, without stimulating collagen. Collagen production is gradually disrupted as part of the natural ageing process and also can be disrupted without sufficient levels of vitamin C

There's "Collagen Drinks for Men" too, if you're still doubting that works as antioxidant, controls oil/ sebum, reduces acne, heal facial scars, reduces wrinkles, tightens pores, protects skin against UV rays and many more. Take a look at some reviews on the web. I saw Kinohimitsu For Men 5,300mg in Watsons yesterday but didn't bother to check them out HAHAHA but still, men still can consume normal collagen drinks even though there's no "for Men" written on the box.

There are also boxes of 4 and 6, if you want to give it a try before spending more on one-month stock. Oh by the way, it's 50ml per bottle. According to my Math [HAHAHA], one box of 16 can lasts up to 1 month. Sometimes, there are Guardian/ Watsons/ etc promotions like box of 16 + 4 FREE bottles [20 bottles in total for same price], sales or both [sale and free bottles] so keep your eyes open for that!

If you’re allergic to seafood, do not consume both brands since they contain fish collagen or you can check again with your doctor. Check out Brand’s Innershine drinks since they’re using fruits extract for that line. Brand’s Ruby Collagen and Marine Collagen contain fish collagen too. Kinohimitsu, NH-Colla Plus and Malaysian Brand's are HALAL certified.

Personally, I prefer pharmacy’s collagen drink than the rebranded ones. Be careful in selecting your collagen drinks. The rebranded ones are NOT cheap as well, so why not spend the same amount of money or a ‘lil bit more on products from companies that actually specialized in that field. Don’t get me wrong, but you need to check the ingredients too. Some rebranded collagen drinks contain little amount of collagen and more on sugar and flavouring so be careful.

P/S: Still too early for me to confirm anything but for sure I will write again once I finished the whole box! It is recommended to consume at least 3 months to see full result. Geez, getting old is hella expensive I tell you! Hahaha oh well, what's your favourite collagen drink? :D

We Are 5!

6 years ago, he said Hi.

We had pretty amazing ride over the years. We’ve celebrated anniversaries together; we’ve also celebrated anniversaries hundreds miles apart. We've experienced many firsts together and looking forward to many more in our future!

This time, we celebrated ours in Ipoh! Together with our loved ones too since Hariz joined the National Horse Show 2016 in Perak Turf Club, Ipoh last week. It was his first show but he casually passed all three dressage tests! What else in this life that you can’t do? I am beyond proud of you, Boo! We all are!

I will continue to cheer you on, wherever you are, whatever you do.

Happy 5 to us! I love you, Mohd Hariz.

Anything For Salinas

Growing up watching the 1997 film, Selena, I thought Jennifer Lopez was the real Selena! [I was 6, what do you expect haha] Lopez was perfect for that part. Love the movie then, now and forever, Selena Vive!

When MAC Cosmetics announced their collaboration with Selena's family mid last year [after being persuaded by a petition on Change.org in order to honor the late singer] I know I need to get some! Finally after a year, it is now released! #MACSelena is sold out (in maccosmetics.com) within minutes after its launching, proved how powerful this Latina was [and still is]! Got myself the Powder Blush Duo Techno Cumbia [bronzer blush powder —RM128] 2 days ago and later, I cannot stop thinking about the lipstick so I went to MAC Paradigm Mall this morning and got myself the Amor Prohibido lipstick [RM85]. During checkout, the MAC staff told me that it was the last "Amor Prohibido" and congratulated me. HAHAHA YAY! ;D
This film is probably one of the earliest film that taught me about feminism, even though I didn't get it back then hahahaha. The film showed how women were being downgraded back in the 70s-80s. They were not successful, cannot be, and won't be. For example, Selena's dad got paid lower than what he supposedly get because Selena was a woman. Sadly, things are still like this in certain places today.

What I love most about this film is that throughout the film, her dad passes his knowledge off to her without mansplaining life to her [during such era] and how he had strong faith and trust in his kids and believed that one day, his kids will make it— which they did! Selena Quitanilla Perez was poised to become the first female singer to cross-over from Spanish to English market, which made her one of the most successful and influential woman [of colour] during that time, before she was shot dead at the age of 23 by the president of her own fan club— Yolanda, in 1995.
Many of the moments in the film were very influential and straight forward with rich characters, inspiring the audiences, especially women of colour, to keep fighting for their dreams. As a whole, the film is about the late Selena as a Mexican-American woman fighting to overcome obstacles [and that includes feminism and racism too] to achieve her dreams. If you haven't watch the film yet, WATCH IT. Even if you're not a fan of her, honestly "Selena" is a good film. I'm gonna make Hariz watch it... Ouuhhhh I'm gonna add that into my things-to-do-before-I-die list. JHAHAH
Rest in peace, Selena.

Sephora — Black Haul 2016

Damage done! Here's my SephoraMY-20%-off haul! Get 20% off everything, in-stores and online! Sale starts today until this Sunday Oct 9. For online, you can use the coupon code BLACK at checkout. Make sure you're a Black Card holder to get the 20% off! If you're a White Card holder, for your sake, drag your Black Card friend along!

These are what I got for myself today! Click for MakeupAlley reviews.
1. Guerlain Lingerie De Peau SPF 20 Foundation [03N Naturel]
2. Caudalie X Jason Wu Beauty Elixir [makeup setting spray]
3. Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ [for normal skin]

I had my eyes on this Guerlain foundation for quite awhile but didn't get the chance to get it since it's RM288 each. For a foundation I think it's too much, and obviously out of my budget. When Sephora announced the 20% off sale, I knew I had to get my hands on it! Got it for RM230.40 after discount, that's like... RM58 off! It's not a must have foundation to be honest, but I love the texture. Its sort of like Dior Forever SPF 35 foundation [I'm using 021], but Guerlain's is slightly smoother. Does not provide full coverage but I prefer using light-weight foundation. No, I am not recommending this foundation. Yet. Hopefully not. Hahahaha

This is my second bottle of Caudalie. I bought the small RM60 bottle to try and sadly, I ended up loving it! It sets my makeup very well and doesn't irritate my eyes too. Previous favourite was Smashbox Primer Water [RM125]. It was sold out everywhere, even until today. Loooove the Smashbox one but it did irritate my eyes sometimes, but I love what it did to my makeup [things I would go through for makeup hahaha]. I hate to get the big bottle Caudalie because it will cost me RM195 but hey, RM156 after 20% discount. It's now or never, right? *cries*

I received 4 samples of Shiseido's latest sunscreens from Parkson Pavilion last 2 months; blue bottle for normal skin and light-blue for children and sensitive skin. I haven't tried it yet but I was searching for one too. Since Hariz is going for a horse championship next week, I gave all 4 samples to him. Gotta take care your man's skin too, honeyboo. After reading so much positive reviews about this sunscreen, I think this is the best time to get it. Got it for RM118.40 after 20% discount. Normal price is RM148.

Now it's time to keep calm and wait for Holiday 2016 collections to arrive! :D xx

Glam Caddy

This is something I have never heard of before until Ika told me to get one. Guess what? I LOVE IT! [Gotta love that girl, she knows what's best] It has made my dressing table so much better, so much organized, or else I just dumped everything into my "vanity trolley", that I bought from Ikea. I feel like I finally using everything that I have, because I can see all of my makeups better now instead of reaching the same thing everyday. I used to store my makeups in boxes and drawers, thinking that I would rotate out, but I actually never did. I can now get rid of everything out from my drawers and put them all in this amazing storage/organizer!
I got this Glam Caddy from Lazada Malaysia, and it costs me RM36 (USD$9) each + free shipping. I heard that you can get it RM10 cheaper in Mr. DIY Malaysia, but I never found any. I bought 3 Glam Caddies from this seller in Lazada [who is no longer in Lazada], 2 of them are perfectly fine but the other one has a problem; missing items [2 items were not in the box]. Hariz tried to call the seller but nobody answered. I did Whatsapped the seller [named Min from SS Asia] about it and he/she just read my message, no replies and the next thing I know I've been blocked; even though the seller stated in his note that the item is under the seller's 1-day warranty, and I contacted him during working hours and the item was still in warranty. [Y u liddis bro] So I decided to report to Lazada and they gave me an instant refund RM40 voucher. I'm not sure if you can ask for cash refund [I think you can ask them about that], but I'm good with the voucher. No fuss at all so yay, thank you Lazada Malaysia! Hariz❤️ will try to fix that poor Caddy later, so we'll see how it goes. Heh heh heh heh

This Glam Caddy is small and compact, it will instantly get everything organized and it rotates too! So awesome. Despite of what happened, I'm still happy with my purchase!
This is what it looks like when it's empty, with the drawer out. The main reason I bought this is because I'm planning to get my hands on Tarte's Holiday 2016 double-sided brushes collection so this drawer is the best storage that I could think of to store the brushes without damaging the brushes, since it's two-sided-brushes brushes. [Damn, hahaha] It's so amazing I feel like buying more so I can put one in the toilet, one for Mama, one for the cats, urghhh!
On the top there are two compartments with lids, which is amazing. You can either flip up the lid to store foundation bottles or anything, or flip down the lid by storing small stuffs in it like cotton pads for example. What I did was, I stored my perfume samples in one compartment [lid's down] and makeup bottles in the other [lid's up].
As you can see, I stored all of my mini product samples in this storage so I can try out all of them because trust me, you won't know what you have if you keep them all in boxes or drawers, even if they're acrylic. On the box it stated that it could holds up to 200 items, which is possible. I don't know exactly how much makeups I put in mine [nope I won't count], but it is incredible enough to hold so much products. I'm obsessed with it, it just made my makeup storage and my dressing table so much better and organized.
So that's my review. If you're looking for a great makeup storage, look no further! Totally recommend this Glam Caddy. It's awesome, it makes me happy and I bet you gonna love it too! (: xx

------- UPDATED . Oct 7, 2016 -------

Few days after I complained to Lazada, Min replied my Whatsapp and asked about the missing parts. Today, a week after the incident, I've received a parcel that contains the missing items. My Caddy is now in a perfect condition! Thank you Min for responding and thanks again Lazada.

Got My Pink Box Cereal Customized!

Just received my first customized #PinkBoxCereal from "Shop Pink Box Cereal" this morning! Gonna pamper myself with some Hyaluronic Acid Water Gel during this sunny month. How perfect! I usually got my Hyaluronic Acid face mask from Innisfree for RM8 per mask. Sadly they don't sell the liquid in tubs or bottles. Hyaluronic Acid Serum can also be found under Skin Inc in Sephora. Mind you, it gonna cost you around RM350 or more for 20ml bottle. But of course, great item with [hopefully] best-quality ingredients comes in great price.
Hyaluronic Acid is a natural element of skin, present throughout the human body. Do you know that 1 gram of Hyaluronic Acid ables to hold up to 6 litres of water?! *jaw drops* [God is great. The more I know, the more I'm amazed!] This acid is probably one of the best solution for my dry, aging skin! [See how paranoid I am with aging skin?!] As we grow older, the hyaluronic acid level in our skin tends to decrease; making our skin's ability to hold water and keeping its moisture to decrease too, resulting our skin in a loss of firmness and suppleness.

Now now, sounds like a God-sent moisturiser, hey? Haha

I usually use this acid as moisturizer but some people apply it to the skin for burns, healing wounds and skin ulcers; since Hyaluronic Acid works as a cushion and lubricant in the joints and other skin tissues, so it might somehow affects the way human body reacts to injury. [Don't know, never try. Haha] Hyaluronic Acid rarely caused negative side effects, so feel free to try it! You can start with Innisfree/The Face Shop's Hyaluronic Acid face-mask if you'd like to try, before spending RM40 per tub for this gel.

However, this water gel won't leave your skin feeling 100% moisturized after you apply it since it works as supplement for the skin. You have to apply it after toner, let it dry for few minutes and you will feel your skin/face becomes matte but not dry at the same time, before you continue with serum and your [cream] moisturizer.
This is definitely the kind of Emergency Kit that I needed right now. Thank you Pink Box Cereal, for making it affordable for me! :'D You can read more about Hyaluronic Acid on the web or refer to these two websites for simple but interestingly solid explanations; Paula's Choice WebMD. (: xx

First Cult Beauty Haul!

I'm so excited to share with you guys my first Cult Beauty haul! Been eyeing on Huda Beauty Faux Mink Lashes for so long, even though I have no idea how to wear lashes but to own one is a must! I chose #5 Candy lashes as my first from the line, cuz it's cute! Got myself a Matte Liquid Lipstick from Huda too in Trendsetter! Another one is my Bae's, Atheera, in Icon. After watching Idk-how-much swatching-videos on Youtube, I think this one [click here] is the best one, in case if you're still not sure which one to get. Hope it helps!

After reading tons of reviews on these two top-rated Pixi products; Pixi Glow Tonic & Pixi Glow Mist, I know I have to try them! I always do my homework before I put my hands on anything, including the free testers/samples. Since we can choose preferred samples during checkout process, I did googled on every sample they offered! [Idk what I've become, dont ask] I chose Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Purpose Dry Oil and Aurelia Cell Revitalise Night Moisturizer as my free samples. Hope they won't do any miracles! *fingers cross*

[throws my cards away]

Thank you for rocking my September, Cult Beauty! Now let's all keep calm, save your money, hide your man, and wait for Holiday 2016 X'mas Sets! Available in Sephora Malaysia starting this October!

[heavy breathing]

Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater

Earlier this week, I redeemed my secret gift from Jeju! If you're an Innisfree VIP member card holder, don't forget to get yours! Thank you Innisfree Malaysia for the honour, to be among the earliest ones to try some samples of the upcoming anti-aging line; Jeju Lava Seawater. I personally think, Korean products work best for us with Asian skin since I find most of Korean products work on me better than the westerns', and they're affordable too! This new line claimed to moisturise and smooth out skin while fighting signs of aging; which I think, yes they do leave my skin smoother and keep it moisturised.

Just in time, I just had my 25th birthday last August. Once we reached our 20s, our skin will start to settle down after all the hassle our poor skin had gone through during the hormone upheaval of our teenage years [God knows]. In our early 20s, our skin's oil [sebum] production level may still be high therefore we may still suffer from acne/spots but our skin will slowly show signs of dryness as we aged towards mid 20s. On the bright side, dryness reduces the risk of spots, blackheads and acne! But on the other hand, it promotes the first fine lines around our lips and eyes [I'm so not ready for this!]. If you have super-oily skin, be proud of your skin! Oily skin tends to age slower than dry skin. *jealous mode-on here*

This new Innisfree's line claimed to be suited for all skin types. DO NOT use it if you are sensitive to fragrances and botanical extracts. Please check the ingredients if you have allergies. After 2 days of using this [I know its too early but here we go~ :p], personally I don't think its moisturising enough to be used as night cream for my dry skin. For night cream, I usually use either Laneige's Multi Berry Yogurt Pack or Soap&Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator; best used during long flights too! Besides keeping my skin feeling hydrated and looking dewy, they somehow repaired my skin too.
However, I enjoyed using Jeju Lava Seawater during day time. The essence and moisturizers hold my makeups pretty well too! They are all lightweight and absorb quickly into the skin without leaving any sticky feeling or traces. I personally think it might work on oily skin pretty well, since they are entirely watery without any hints of oiliness or leaving any greasy residue. It leaves my face feeling matte but hydrated at the same time! [Can you imagine?] Living in a tropical country [indoor heat, hot showers, sunny weather], can strip away our skin's natural oil and certainly making our skin looking dull. Moisturisers are very important, no matter what skin type you have.

Conclusion, Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater isn't a holy grail anti-aging product. It does not reduce my redness, brighten the skin, nor provide any noticeable firming effects. I find it more towards hydrating by keeping my skin's moisture retention and antioxidant protection. Suits best for those who are in their early and mid 20s with oily skin and combination skin.

Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater line consists of Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Skin [toner], Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion [moisturiser], Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Essence [serum], Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Deep Essence [serum] and Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Cream [moisturiser].

Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater will be in all Innisfree Malaysia stores starting this 1st October 2016!

What's your favourite product from Innisfree? Leave a comment below! (: xx

Beauty Reviews 08

Blush blabs! I don't really pay attention to blushers, to be honest. These 2 [NARS Dual Intensity Blush in PANIC & TARTE Tarteist Blush Palette] are the only blushers I bought this year and I have one Chanel cream blush stick from LES BEIGES line; Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick in N°21 [pink]. Boyfriend bought that one for me last year.
So far, I think Tarte has the best blusher since they last the longest [at least, to me]. I know I can't be bias since I haven't tried all blushers from the market but I'm very happy with my Tarte palette! I've tried Chanel, MAC and Dior before but boy, Tarte is the bomb! As for cream blushers, I only had Chanel and Topshop. So far, Topshop is my favourite since 2012! It's really reeeaaally pigmented and long lasting too! Finished mine but sadly Topshop Malaysia has stopped bringing Topshop Makeups in now.

I rarely touch the NARS one because it's so pretty! I JUST CAN'T HAHAHA. As you know, NARS' texture is messy-free. It's not powdery, messy like normal blush does. If you're allergic to dust or messy powder, go for NARS. And of course I got my eyes on the upcoming NARS Dual-Intensity Blush Palette! I'm gonna buy you and own you *heavy breathing*. If you're always on the run, I recommend you to NOT get any palettes from NARS. NARS palette needs you to make some time for your brush to picks up the colour. Definitely not for them who always on-the-go. NARS makes pretty makeups but to be honest, you need time to get along with their palettes. And the right brush.
As for today's recommendation, if you never try any blushers from Tarte,
maybe it's time ;) xx

------ UPDATED Nov 12, 2016 ------

I went to NARS KLCC to see the new blush palette, it was so preeeeeetty but I found it too glittery for me so I decided not to buy it :/ Good news, I just saved RM240 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

When it comes to face oil, I would say these two are my favourites! I've tried Tarte Maracuja Oil before I found these two. It did nothing for my face, didn't break out and didn't do miracle too. So I would say I am neutral about the Tarte one, and decided not to repurchase. After I've read reviews on this Caudalie Huile Divine Body Face Hair Oil, I've decided to give it a try! Glad I found this wonderful multi-purpose oil. It has this light and warm, woody scent. Texture very light, not thick at all! 1 spray if mix with foundation, 2 sprays without foundation. Works so well on my face and hair.

Face: Blends well with all my foundations, not sticky, moisturised my skin, absorbs quickly, doesn't stain or leave greasy mess on my pillowcase, long lasting, made my skin looks fantastic (with or without foundation), holds foundation well too!

Hair: Doesn't leave my hair feeling oily, hair looks healthier, tames away frizz, do miracles to my hair in less that 1 minute.

Another one is from Daughter Earth Skin! RM67 per bottle, great price for such great product! Texture is quite thick, way thicker than Caudalie. All I need is just one drop for my whole face. Since the texture is thick, I usually use it as my sleeping oil/mask. It leaves my face hydrated until the next morning! No more waking-up to dull face! The scent is very therapeutic too! This natural homemade face oil is one great Malaysian product, I must say. Surprisingly, face oil is not only for dry skin. You can use face oil too, even if you have oily skin! Luckily Daughter Earth Skin has them all under one roof!

[Source: Daughter Earth Skin]
BLUE: OILY/ACNE PRONE SKIN (Grape seed, Lavender and Geranium Oil)
Good for oily to severely oily skin, acne prone, oily cheeks and t zone, whiteheads and blackheads, scars and dark marks, pimple scab.

PINK: NORMAL /COMBINATION SKIN (Cucumber Seed, Carrot Seed and Mandarin)
Good for dull/lifeless skin, uneven skin tone, dry cheeks with oily t zone, blackheads and whiteheads, scars and dark marks.

ORANGE: FOR DRY/AGING SKIN (Almond, Rose Hip, Pomegranate)
Good for dry, tired skin, skin feels tight after cleansing, saggy skin, premature aging, fine lines and wrinkles, dry patches, long hours in air conditioned places, pigmentation, scars & dull skin.

P/S: This is not a sponsored post. Will definitely repurchase both!
Got my Caudalie from Sephora, btw. (: xx

This latest collection of Kat Von D's Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad eye palette (in RUST) was too good, I gotta purchase more from this line! Got myself two more in Plum and Sage. Thank you Babysis for the birthday treats! #LeoBabiesRock
As you can see, I haven't touched Sage yet. It's too pretty I just can't! The texture is powdery, but really pigmented. I find this KVD is slightly more pigmented than Urban Decay and easier to blend. Urban Decay was my favourite brand for eyeshadows, until I discovered these! If you ask me which one would I recommend, I would say Rust. With Rust, you can go for either smokey eyes or vibrant look/eyes. Plum (purple) and Sage (green) will only make you end up with smokey eyes, since the purple/plum and green colours are a bit too dark, especially on us with not-so-fair-Asian skin. They probably will end up looking the same, like you can't even tell if you're putting purple or green. Your eyes will just gonna end up looking smoky with dark coloured eyeshadows- that's it. Hahahaha bless you babies with fair skin.

I have to say, Kat Vond D has came up with great eyeshadows. As for the eyeliner, I prefer Stila more than KVD's. Stila is so far the best smudge-free, super long lasting eyeliner of all smudge-free & long lasting eyeliners out there. Hahaha! As for the foundation, I am aware that KVD's is thick and is made for full coverage that you can even cover your tattoo with it! You have to mix it with one drop of face oil before you put it on your face, to make it easier to blend. I didn't get one for myself because I still have my Marc Jacobs. Will talk about my favourite face oil later in the next post!

What's you favourite from KVD? (: xx

My First Kat Von D

Look what came in the mail yesterday morning! My very first Kat Von D! Got my Shade + Light Eye Contour Quads in Rust. Just look how cool the packaging is! Dangg gurl, I ain't swatching this. It's too pretty I don't wanna ruin it! I absolutely love the packaging. This classy glossy black plastic case, which sort of looks like a mini black coffin, that shows her dark signature theme, which I find it really cool! KVD is officially my new (hashtag) woman crush everyday. Hands down!

What I love about shopping Sephora online is that you can choose a free sample/tester during checkout. FREE one mini KVD Tattoo Liner when you purchase 2 or more KVD products on Sephora Malaysia. And once again, FREE one exclusive Sephora shopping bag when you purchase more than RM300 (blackcard) or RM350 (whitecard) this month on Sephora Malaysia! Promotions valid until July 31.

This time, I chose Mario Badescu's Enzyme Cleansing Gel as my free sample! It is one of their best-selling facial cleanser, so I thought I should give it a try :)

I'm not a pro when it comes to contouring but that doesn't mean I don't fancy contour kits! :D

Anastasia Beverly Hills CREAM Contour Kit
COLOR: Medium
PROS: IT IS SO PRETTY TO LOOK AT! Easy to blend, very creamy.
CONS: Made my face looking very orange, over-tanned. Doesn't suit my Asian-yellow-skin-tone.
Australis AC On Tour CREAM Kit
COLOR: Light
PROS: Pretty good for such affordable price, actually.
CONS: Too light for my yellow skin tone. Probably suits people with fairer skin.
Australis AC On Tour POWDER Kit
COLOR: Light
PROS: Easy to blend, unlike ABH Powder Contour Kit. Pigment is good. My favourite so far!
CONS: Messy texture, very powdery. Refer [Beauty Reviews 02]

P/S: Basically, it’s all depends on your skin tone and what kind of look you want to put on. I cannot give you the exact or fair reviews on these items as you have to try it yourself, and again depends on what kind of look you want to have.

For beginners like me, it is better to start with powder contour kit. DO NOT buy cream contour, unless if you’re a pro. It is way easier and faster to use powder cream contour.

If you’re in Malaysia, please check out Sendayu Tinggi Highlight and Contour Kit [Rm48]. You can get it from selected Watsons or through their official website. I’ve tried the tester and surprisingly, the texture was amazingly pigmented and easy to blend. However, the highlight powder is a white pigmented powder, which you can use for baking during contouring process. DO NOT expect the white highlight to be all glittery-kind-of-highlight like Mary Lou Manizer. IT IS NOT that kind of highlighter. I would get myself one too if I didn't have the Australis Kit :)

Toners talk! Here are some face spray/toners I’ve tried and this is what I think!

LUSH Breath of Fresh Air
PROS: Lush is the best place for skin care, if you ask me! *hands down* This toner works great with my skin as it keeps my skin moisturized and soft. I’m using this toner along with Herbalism Face-Cleanser (to calm my redness or whenever I have breakouts) and Angels On Bare Skin Face-Cleanser (if I want to exfoliate away my dry skin, best for sensitive skin). It really worked on reducing my redness, so no complain about this one!
— This is my 3rd bottle. Definitely will repurchase!

KORA Organics Balancing Rose Mist
PROS: Worked on my body! It keeps my body skin feeling supple, fresh and soft! Also it smells so much of rose and floral scents, which I love.
CONS: Very, Very expensive so obviously it is not affordable to me (AUD$44 = RM140). It’s better to get other Kora products for such price. Probably the ingredients are too rich for my face, I had breakouts on the next morning after I used this mist on the night before. Thought I was wrong and probably the breakouts were caused by something else so I decided to give it another try, but same thing happened. Therefore I can only use the mist for my body and not my face.
— Will not repurchase.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence
PROS: Making my face looking supple, radiant and fresh. Nothing more, probably I’m too young to try SK-II, since it seemed to work well on my 45 years old aunty. I think I need to start considering trying SK-II when I reach 30 or something.
CONS: It’s an okay toner and definitely not worth the price. I see no differences. Nothing good, nothing bad. NOTHING. If you really wanna go for pitera essence/toner, you can try MISSHA’s Time Revolution First Treatment Essence. I heard it’s a great dupe for SK-II; price range –almost the same but slightly cheaper but better.
— Will not repurchase.

Mustika Ratu Penyegar Sari Mawar (Rose Tonic Water – for dry & sensitive skin)
PROS: I love almost everything from this Indonesian brand! If you enjoy authentic scented products (it reminds me of Bali. Haha) you will love this! Awesome product for very affordable price! Probably around RM10 in Malaysia? You can get it in Giant, Tesco or the pharmacies. I love how cooling it feels on my skin. Instead of cleansing the excess oil off my face, this toner leaves my skin feeling fresh too!
CONS: They don’t do miracles.
— Will repurchase.

LUSH Eau Roma Water
PROS: Really cooling and refreshing, especially when you keep it in the fridge. Does not irritate my dry skin and does not dry it out. This toner is a lovely, gentle face mist/toner. Lightly hydrates the skin and keeps it looking fresh. Smells amazing too! (Rosy smell, of course! :P)
CONS: I usually love Lush products but unfortunately this toner let me down. Truth is, I don’t feel like this toner does much to my skin. It’s just another overpriced toner that does nothing much than a normal, way affordable toner does. As a Lush toner, to me this item is not very impressive.
— Will not repurchase.

P/S: Bear in mind, this is a personal review. Different people with different skin types will definitely get different results. :)

My Aries Man Turns 25

Some people say being in a relationship is hard. Girls and boys differ in so many things such as opinion- that leads to never ending arguments. Of course, I gotta agree on that. But then again, it’s how you deal with all these fights that makes all the difference; even though Hariz was always the one who dealt with all the fights and I was the one who easily got mad.

Today is my man’s 25th birthday! I am so incredibly blessed to be his lady. Since it’s his special day, I thought I’d take a minute to brag on him just a little bit :P
I’m so blessed that a Queen raised my man! He’s always two or three steps ahead. It's one of the things I love most about him. I love to watch him takes on the responsibilities on his shoulders and not afraid to go against the flow. He is passionate and very well determined. He’s like a talking encyclopedia; discovery and history channels combined. My daily source of news. Who needs Awani App when you have Hariz :P The one who fixes whatever I damaged. The one who tolerates my clumsiness. The one who listens to my endless stories and gossips. Always does his best in whatever tasks he works on. Oh, he is so committed to our “friendship” as well. (HAHAHA friendship. HAHAHAHA) He always starts the day with a “Good morning, Sayang” and ends it with “I love you”, even though it's almost 5 years already. Always call me in the afternoon every day to check whether I have eaten or not; even though I always asked you to stop questioning me. Ya lah, I haven't eat and you ask some more why haven't eat. Wanna die is it. Hungry people are the worst people, y'know. Despite of how annoying you are, you're still my favourite human being.

Happy birthday to my boyfriend who stuck with me since 2011.
Hope you have a birthday as great as you, Boo Boo! :*

Hugs and kisses,
Your biggest #kipassusahmati.

Ever since Trackem Café was opened, all I can think of was my bed and nothing else! If you are nearby, do come over! We are located in Menara U2 Apartment Section 13, Shah Alam. HAHAHA sometimes when I look at myself, I was like shit man, what are you doing with your life? It is so unpredictable! Life is so full of surprises!

Moving on! As I promised myself to blog about my two HOLIEST OF THE HOLIEST grail foundation in my Snapchat, (Snapchat is the shit nowadays hands down) so here we go!

Dior Air Flash Foundation
Colour: 201
PROS: It is sooooo goooood that I have to repurchase it (and the Airflash CC Primer too) because it is that good! Currently using my second bottle. Such a light foundation but flawless finish! There is just no denying the beautiful natural finish this foundation creates. Most amazing is how it evens out my skin tone, covers my dark spots and my skin still looks like natural skin! Yes, my skin looks naturally flawless! It’s so amazing! Please try it, be it testers or something. Just head to KLCC Dior counter and ask the staffs to try it on you. You’ll be amazed! I promise!
CONS: This foundation is a light to medium coverage. Does not last that long, probably up to 6 hours in this tropical country. Must be used with Airflash CC Primer to get the flawless result. Tried using with other primer, foundation turned out cakey. (But I forgot what primer I used, heh. )

Marc Jacobs reMARCable Foundation Concentrate
Colour: 28
I already blogged about it, but after some times this it what I feel about the product.
PROS: Long lasting, up to 12 hours! No joke! Even when I sweat, the foundation stays! It’s so amazing! I’m not sure how to explain this but- when I sweat, the water sat on the foundation; they didn’t blend together. I guess that’s why the foundation stays for so long. This foundation is ultra full coverage without being thick. It’s so easy to blend and it really meshes with the skin to create a beautiful, full coverage finish with a satin/matte finish. All you need is 3 dots of the concentrate on your face and blend it and you’re done! It is extremely pigmented too!
CONS: It is not moisturizing. Since I have super-dry skin, I had to exfoliate using face scrub and moisturize my skin for a night with face oil or sleeping mask to get rid of dry patches before I put the foundation on the next morning.

P/S: Some tips for you before you purchase any foundation, especially these overpriced-foundations. Try it on your face first, before you decide to purchase it. What I did was, I went to Sephora with my bare face. I just did my eyes and brows, and nothing on my face. I wasn’t sure which colour suits me so I asked the staff to try Marc 27 on my left side of my face and Marc 28 on the right side. I even brought my own brush to try the foundations because it’s more hygienic. Then I went out for a walk and after few hours, I checked my face again to see which side is better. Hewhewhew

When In Rome

I remember when I first touched down Rome, Italy, I was so amazed by the historic city. So many buildings rang gazillions bells to me- all thanks to Lizzie McGuire the Movie though. My body was worn out. 5 hours flight delay was no joke, but the fog was too bad and got all flights in Stansted Airport delayed. As soon as we landed in Ciampino Airport, we took a coach to the Termini Station (bus/train central station) in the city, before we took a cab to the hotel. The taxi driver was being a taxi driver though, he took the long turn and charged us €20. (..bitch..) But what else can we do, we were too tired to argue. Not with an Italian of course. On the bright side, we had the chance to see the city at night before we reached our hotel.

We spent our 2 nights in Domus Romana Hotel, which was not that far from the tourist spots, probably around 20 minutes walk to the Roman Forum. It was one of the cheapest hotel I can get within such area. Surprisingly, our jaw dropped once we opened our hotel room’s door. When you walk into the room, there’s the bathroom on the right- ridiculously huge thing with a tub, a showerhead across from each other, with roman arts wallpaper on the ceiling; giving you the Roman vibes. Past the bathroom is the bedroom, with 2 super Singles, a flatscreen, and a balcony.

The balcony, oh man. I can just sit there for hours. I’ve heard honks, and shouts, and laughter, some soulful music; it felt so surreal. That was the kind of moment where my mind and body were too tired for anything and I never even wanted to come out on the balcony in the first place. But there I was, and I didn’t wanna go back inside. Going back inside means letting that moment come to a close. It felt so amazing, introspective moments like this that I found myself wondering, how many more moments like this I could’ve had, could’ve made, could’ve stolen for myself if I decided to go back to Malaysia.

Beautiful, isn’t it?
These moments, however fleeting, when we were alone yet surrounded by people. When it was full of noises but felt so quiet at the same time. At ease, perhaps sitting in the shadows, watching the world and marveling at our place in it. The significance we ascribe to our lives, even as we acknowledge its relative insignificance. Knowing my parents, everything will be the same, exactly just like before I left. But realizing a little more now, it is better for me to stay in Malaysia and get my head together. There are responsibilities I have to take care of; which I’m not sure what to feel about that. [ VIDEO ]
Either way, I’m still looking forward to our next quiet moment together, Roma.
